The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) is one of our last truly wild places, home to caribou, polar bears and Indigenous communities who depend on its intact ecosystems. Yet oil companies and politicians continue to push for drilling within this pristine landscape.
PennFuture stands with the Gwich’in people and conservationists who say the ANWR is not for sale. Opening the refuge to fossil fuel extraction would irreversibly damage fragile habitats and exacerbate climate change. We must tell our elected officials to protect this national treasure permanently.
