Web browser cookies
The Website may use “cookies” to enhance your experience with the Website. PennFuture may also use cookies to measure aggregate web statistics, such as collecting the number of Users to the Website, the number of repeat Users and the most popular webpages, and for other purposes. PennFuture does not use cookies to track User activity on an individual basis. You may choose to set your web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. How PennFuture Uses the Information that It Collects
PennFuture uses Users’ personal information to better understand how Users use the Website so that PennFuture can improve the Website and its offerings. PennFuture also uses Users’ personal information for the purpose for which the Users provided the information, in other words, to add you to our email list, to provide requested information, to process a donation, or to otherwise fulfill a request.
If you provide PennFuture with your email address (other than if you contact us to request legal assistance), PennFuture may add you to its email list and may contact you with information that PennFuture thinks will be of interest to you. If at any time you wish to stop receiving communications from PennFuture, please follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of any email PennFuture sends you, or send PennFuture an email to info@pennfuture.org and ask to be removed from PennFuture’s distribution list. If you provide PennFuture with your cell phone number, you consent to receive autodialed and/or prerecorded messages at that number on any subject from PennFuture.
How PennFuture Protects User Information
PennFuture adopts appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to help protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, but PennFuture cannot guarantee that your information is 100 percent secure. In addition, please recognize that email is not a secure method of communication, so you should not include sensitive information in any email you send to us. Your credit card information is not stored by PennFuture.
Sharing Personal Information
PennFuture uses third party service providers to help operate its business and Website, or administer activities, such as collecting donations online. PennFuture may share User information with these third parties for those limited purposes, but PennFuture requires that such third parties protect the confidentiality of your information and use it for no other purpose.
In addition, PennFuture may share personally identifiable information about Users with other like-minded organizations, including our sister organization, Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania, to the extent that sharing your information is consistent with our mission to transition to a clean energy economy, protect the environment, and empower citizens to build sustainable communities for future generations. Moreover, PennFuture will share personally identifiable information about Users when required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws or to respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant.
PennFuture may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personally identifiable information regarding Users with third parties.

PennFuture may provide links from the Website to other websites. PennFuture does not control the content or links that appear on these third party websites and is not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Website. Compliance with Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
Protecting the privacy of the young is especially important. For that reason, PennFuture never collects information on the Website from those PennFuture knows are under 13, and no part of the Website is structured to attract anyone under 13. If PennFuture becomes aware of having information about or from anyone under 13, PennFuture will promptly delete the information.
