Hurricane Florence turned into a ferocious storm because warmer oceans and atmosphere gave it extra moisture. The flooding and devastation highlight how our warming world fuels more extreme weather. Yet, as communities rebuild, there is hope: by embracing renewable energy, supporting climate legislation, and helping those most affected, we can reduce emissions and prepare for the future.
