But you also know that these systemic issues require systemic solutions. And part of protecting the environment means making your voice heard in support of pushing for those bigger, broader pro-environment solutions.

That’s where we over here at PennFuture come in! We know folks are juggling so much these days – between school, work, caring for our families, and more — so we make it incredibly easy for you to take action and push for solutions that protect our families, our communities, and our environment:

• Our Government Affairs team tracks key legislation moving through the Capitol so you don’t have to. They work to break down what the bills would do and what impact they would have on our environment.
• Our Campaigns team and our Communications team work to make sure we are keeping you updated about key changes happening that affect our air, our water, and our climate.

And here’s the critical part that we couldn’t do without you:

Our Civic Engagement team actively tracks developments across key regions in the state and works to ensure residents - like YOU - are informed about the opportunities to take part in the decisions that shape our communities. We’re here to support you, listen to you, and work with you to bring about a healthier future. How?

• Making sure you know about the key environmental decisions happening locally and statewide.
• Providing opportunities for you to meet and express your concerns to your legislators – the elected officials that represent YOU locally and in Harrisburg.
• Offering training and support on key advocacy tactics, like making a public comment, calling your legislator, writing to your local newspaper, and more.

We’ve got the data, the facts, and the science – but that’s not what helps change minds and push for progress. What helps to drive positive change is the power of people coming together and highlighting the real, individual impacts Pennsylvanians are having.

And the fact of the matter is that all too often, the people that are most burdened by pollution and impacted by decisions are left out of the conversation and the decision-making process. We want to empower as many people across the Commonwealth to be a part of the solutions — especially people living in frontline communities and those most impacted by the environmental injustices we’re facing.

With the worsening natural disasters, environmental injustices, and a growing climate crisis, we need to work together to build resilient communities protected from pollution and enact solutions for clean air, pure water, and a healthy, protected environment.

We the people elected our State Representatives and our State Senators, and those elected officials have a key opportunity to pass legislation that would make our energy more affordable, our water less polluted, and our environment more protected.
