Recent Rollbacks Mean Dirtier Air, Increased Deaths from Pollution
Since the Trump administration took over the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, many rules to reduce air pollution and tackle climate change have been rolled back or weakened. Proposed rollbacks of vehicle emissions standards, power plant regulations, and other protections will lead to increased smog, soot, and climate pollution, resulting in more premature deaths and health problems. This article highlights these harmful policy changes and urges citizens and policymakers to defend and strengthen environmental protections to safeguard public health and our climate.
