More than 86,000 Pennsylvanians already work in clean energy jobs, according to a report from E2 and partner organizations. Those positions range from energy efficiency and solar installation to clean vehicles and grid modernization, placing Pennsylvania among the top states for clean energy employment.

To keep this jobs engine running, Pennsylvania must invest in workforce training and apprenticeship programs, recruit and retain companies that manufacture clean energy technologies, and provide research and development support that helps businesses bring new products to market. Pennsylvania should also direct resources to clean water infrastructure and offer financial incentives that encourage businesses to adopt energy ‑ efficient technologies.

With a bold clean energy agenda, the Commonwealth can spur job growth, protect our environment and build a sustainable economy. Join PennFuture’s Green in ’18 campaign and urge elected leaders to keep our clean energy jobs engine humming.
