Growing up near the Poconos instilled a deep appreciation for the region’s “exceptional value” streams. These high‑quality waters support recreation, wildlife and local economies. As development pressures increase, we must protect these headwater streams and designate more of them as Exceptional Value to preserve the Poconos’ natural heritage for future generations.
