PennFuture responds to court decision to strike down Trump carbon rule

“PennFuture is encouraged by the court’s rejection of the polluter-friendly Affordable Clean Energy rule,” said Rob Altenburg, director of PennFuture’s Energy Center. “This ruling will give the Biden administration the opportunity to curb dangerous pollution from the power sector and keep his promise of putting climate action at the top of his agenda. We are hopeful that this decision is the first step in reversing the Trump administration’s many rash, misguided and baseless rollbacks of environmental protections critical to protecting our communities.”
