On July 26, Pennsylvania's Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding and PASA's Lindsey Shapiro joined our environmental partners to discuss what the Farm Bill is and how it impacts Pennsylvania communties and conservation efforts. On July 18, PennFuture & Conservation Voters of PA hosted a webinar to unravel what happened to budget negotiations, where the PA Budget stands now, and what to expect in the next weeks and months. The state budget has big implications for clean air, water, and land across Pennsylvania.
On July 13, PennFuture, Conservation Voters of PA, We Conserve PA, the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed, and the Choose Clean Water Coalition held a webinar to debrief our members and supporters about environmental funding included in the recently-passed Pennsylvania state budget.
On May 18, PennFuture, Conservation Voters of PA, Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Scrubgrass Creek Watershed Association, and Wissahickon Trails hosted a webinar designed to inform residents about the popular Growing Greener program. We discussed the program's purpose, showcased a number of Growing Greener projects from throughout the state, and highlighted the opportunity to keep this program funded for years to come.
This virtual event on Tuesday, May 10 at 7:00 PM detailed the damages that Hurricane Ida had on our environment, the recovery efforts, and how we can help to improve our local infrastructure and resiliency. It featured speakers including State Senator Steve Santarsiero, Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie, and Tinicum Township Supervisor Eleanor Breslin, as well as input from local watershed partners.
