Following her retirement from the position of Regional Counsel with the Pa. Department of Environmental Protection – NE Office in 2000, Bonnie became president of a local nonprofit organization, North Pocono CARE [Citizens Alert Regarding the Environment] dedicated to protecting the environment in the North Pocono area with a focus on protection the headwaters of the Lehigh River. In that capacity, she has been active in land and water protection matters, often partnering with other environmental nonprofits, including PennFuture. From 1979 to 1989, she was in private practice in Titusville, Pennsylvania and from 1989 to 2000, she served as counsel with the Department of Environmental Protection’s Northeast Office. She is a member of the Thornhurst Township Planning Commission.
She holds a B.A. in political science from Chatham University, an M.R.P in regional planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a J.D. from Dickinson School of Law.
