
Andrew Sharp is PennFuture’s Philadelphia outreach coordinator, joining the Center City Philadelphia office in February 2012.
Sharp coordinates the Next Great City campaign, an initiative working to create a cleaner, safer, more sustainable city by advocating for common sense, cost effective policies that enhance environmental quality, strengthen neighborhoods, and increase Philadelphia's economic competitiveness.
Born and raised just steps from Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, Sharp knows firsthand the critical need for environmental sustainability to create high quality urban communities. His background is in politics and law. He worked as a field director on several political campaigns, both statewide and in the Philadelphia region. He also served as special assistant to the president of a law firm in Philadelphia and as a law clerk for a state judge. Andrew is a member of the National Political Science Honor Society and devotes his spare time to LGBT equality organizations and the thriving arts, food, and culture scene in Philadelphia.
Andrew received his bachelor's degree in political science from Saint Joseph's University.
